Snapshots (1996), for piano and wind quintet. Five American vignettes. Commissioned by pianist Michiko Otaki for her concert tours with the Warsaw Wind Quintet. 18'. Published by Lux Nova Press (LNP-0135).


Singing At The Fire (1996), three pieces for organ based on poems of Sarah Klassen and prints from The Martyrs Mirror. Commissioned by Shirley King for the 1997 C. Henry Smith Peace Lectures at Bluffton (IN) College, Bethel (KS) College and Goshen (IN) College. 18'.


Between Mother and Son (1997), ballet for piano and organ soli. Commissioned by the Georgia Music Teachers Association for pianist Jeannine Morrison and organist Alan Morrison. 18'.


Moon Over Half Dome (1999), nocturne for oboe, string trio and piano. Written for The Georgian Chamber Players. 8'.


Songs Without Words (1999), soprano saxophone (or clarinet) and piano. Originally a set of four wordless vocalises, written for Cheryl Boyd-Waddell and Michiko Otaki. 12'.


Two Meditations (2000), alto saxophone and piano. Commissioned by William Graves. The composer’s and performer’s responses to school shootings in Colorado, Oregon and Georgia. 12’.


Lullaby for Paul (2006), piano solo. 5:30. Grouped with Lullaby for Gracie (1990)  and  Lullaby for Mary (1993) under title Three Lullabies.


Devotional (2006), cello and piano. Seven prayers for cello and piano based on the canonical hours. Written for Cary and Dorothy Lewis. 15’


Soliloquy on a Gospel Hymn (2008) for organ. Fantasy on the hymn tune Love of God by F.M. Lehman. Commissioned by organist Shirley King for March 2008 guest artist recital at Goshen College. 11’.


Chehalem Sketches (2009) for piano and wind quintet. Commissioned by the Alder Street Sextet. Four sketches on landscapes in Oregon’s Chehalem Valley. 16’.


Legends (2009) for solo piano and electronic sounds (fixed media). Commissioned by Maria Choban . Five portraits of female characters from ancient Greek legend. 20’.


Imaginary Scenes (2010) for saxophone quartet and electronic sounds (fixed media). Commissioned by the Joseph Wytko Saxophone Quartet. Scheduled for premiere in August 2010. 17’.
